More than 160 people connected to the event which occurred at a market in Liwan District of Guangzhou on Thursday had medical observations immediately. At present, no one has been found to be infected with bird flu from poultry. After 2 days, it could be estimated whether people are safe or not. The Health Care Bureau reminds citizens not to cook live chickens, and to make sure that chicken is fully cooked.

At present, there are 19 sentinel hospitals in Guangzhou examining more than 200 influenza-like diseases per month. Schools are also checking their students’ condition every morning in order to prevent influenza like disease. Hospitals are also paying more attention to flu and fever drugs to control citizens’ health.
