As of today (Oct. 8th), the Guangzhou-Dongguan expressway (a section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen expressway) will be closed for 3 months due to maintenance work. The project will be completed during next January, according to New Express Daily.

The 19.64-kilometer long section for maintenance is from Guangzhou's Xintang Toll Station to Dongguan Toll Station. Lanes from Guangzhou to Dongguan will be closed for 3 months while lanes from Dongguan to Guangzhou will operate as normal as the schedule for repairs of this section is still under discussion.
